In the 5th reunion of families separated, 100 persons from North Korea visited to South Korea on 13~15 Sep. Subsequently 100 persons from South Korea visited and reunited with families separated in North Korea on 16~18 Sep.

300 persons were selected in public by a computer on the basis of age, family relationship, and application in the past with the principle of justice, clearness, and trust. The dead or unhealthy of them are sorted out and finally 200 candidates were selected. The list was exchanged on 24 Aug.

After that, the final visiting group, 100 persons, was fixed and the final list was changed each other on 5 Sep.

Meanwhile, only 3 persons were replaced as 4 persons gave up reunion with the matter of health ,so that 99 persons were able to reunite with families of North Korea. The 5th reunion was held and progressed in Mt. Grumgang by improving a couple of matters of the 4th reunion, which was held in Mt. Geumgang for the first time.
